Renowned transvestite criminal. Committed numerous armed robberies in the 1920’s in Sydney City and environs (including one resulting in death of victim). Finally arrested on morning of 14 July 1927 following attempted robbery at Sydney’s premier jewellery store Fairfax & Roberts, King Street. Image on left taken prior to appearance before Magistrate 8 November 1927. Image on right taken 14 July 1927 soon after arrest in Elizabeth Street, Sydney, attempting escape.
